About Sarah

With over 30 years of combined experience as a midwife, holistic pelvic therapist, women’s functional and integrative medicine practitioner, and lactation consultant, Sarah Mitchell has attended to over 3,000 women with her knowledge, her heart and hands; “Nourishing Your Body, Heart & Lady Parts.”

Sleepless nights and chasing after her daughter as a single mom, Sarah overcame extreme stress and anxiety, repeat UTIs, low sex drive, and peeing mid-laugh. As someone who had studied health sciences, midwifery and somatic therapies, when I sought help in my late 30s and early 40s for brain fog, insomnia, “flooding” and wild mood swings, I was told my labs looked *good* and there was nothing wrong. It can be incredibly frustrating to feel like something is not right with your body, and then be told by medical professionals that everything looks fine. Brain fog, insomnia, migraines, "flooding," and wild mood swings are all symptoms that can be hard to pin down and had a serious impact on my life. It was these struggles that propelled me to seek, study and heal myself and other women, like yourself.

Sarah believes in the interconnectedness of everything in the body, recognizing it as a whole system with a unique divine architecture. In addition to formal education, Sarah’s approach has been influenced by traditional healing methods that acknowledge the importance of the spirit in the body and its innate link to wellness. Sarah strives to promote balance, vibrancy, and depth in her work with you, to provide a beautiful nourishing, and healing experience.

It's important to remember that you know your body best and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Seeking out a provider who specializes in somatic therapy, and holistic well-woman care may help treat the root causes of these symptoms so your vibrancy, vitality, and joy are restored.

When not harvesting garden-grown basil with her 95-pound Italian dog, Sarah finds pleasure in dancing and cooking (Yes! At the same time in her kitchen.)
